Ever since I was a kid I’ve been obsessed with rainbows but it wasn’t until junior high that I learned they are one of many symbols of equality. This last Christmas I decided to go with a Roy G. Biv theme and it prompted my friend Kathren to name it the Equalitree.  It continues to be up in my living room as a symbol of faith that Arizona will one day join the nineteen states that currently recognize marriage equality.
